Group I - involve anterior portion of epiphysis only. No collapse or sequestrum Group II - £ 50 % involvement with a sequestrum Group III - ~75% involved, with collapse & sequestrum Group IV - whole epiphysis involved Salter Thompson - based on the percentage of the extent of subchondral fracture Group A - < 50 % ( I & II) Group B - > 50 % ( III & IV)
Stulberg - performed at time of maturity, to predict risks of OA
Class I - normal hip Class II - Spherical head on AP & lat XR, but with coxa magna, short neck or steep acetabulum Class III - Non-spherical but not flat head, with other abnormalities as in Cl II above Class IV - Flat head with abnormalities of head neck and acetabulum Class V - flat head with normal neck and acetabulum
